In the 2017–18 course I joined the Nebrija Research Group on Scholar and Artistic Communities. In 2016 I defended cum laude my PhD Identity as a critical perspective on performing arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. Thanks to a MAE-AECI grant (2006-2007) I obtained a Specialist Diploma in Education, Languages and Media at the San Martín University (Buenos Aires, Argentina) with a thesis on creativity and theatre pedagogy. Between 2004-2005 I partook of a pre-doctoral scholarship by the Spanish Ministry of Culture at the Centro do Imaginario, Educação e Cultura in the São Paulo University, Brazil, focusing on the interactions among identity and performance. I graduated in Media & Social Communication in 1998, and in 2004 I attained an Advanced Studies Diploma in Applied Creativity both from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Together with Eva Egido Leiva, since 2001, I co–lead Acciones Imaginarias, a company devoted to contemporary theatre. As artistic director and producer I have premiered, among others, Proyecto Père-Lachaise (2002), Casting (2004), Agua de Lluvia (2005), Acto Escolar (2006), Adiós mi España Querida (2011), Comprando una vida (2012), Photocall (2014), and Vía Muerta (2017), plays that have been showed in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, United States, Luxembourg, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Czech Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
I am always open to enhance my professional activity collaborating with other artists and receiving commissions in relation with stage direction, lighting, video projections, graphic design, photography and digital media authoring. In this line, my participation in the Spain-Mexico-Colombia co-production ¿De qué estamos hablando? (2013) supported by Iberescena, as the play Leviatán, created together with the composer Óliver Rappoport, produced by ÓperaDHoy and premiered at the Teatros del Canal in 2015, are noteworthy. Lately, as light, sound and video designer and technician I've been colaborating with artists like Víctor Coyote, Carlos Olalla, and theatre companies as Coart+e, Cuartoymitad, Surca Teatro, among others.
I am founder and head of the Centro Imaginario de Estudios Artísticos, a non-profit association in which we have promoted, among others, projects like the Creation Laboratory for Performers (labCrea, 2006-2010) and the European Musical Creation Workshop (2009-2014) thanks to the Grants-in-Aid program by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
I am also an active pedagogue teaching workshops on technology, performance and creativity and lecturing in seminars and conferences.
